PPA PE & Games Lesson Cover
Sports Fever has been delivering PE and Games lessons in both public and independent schools since 2000. Our coaching team plan and deliver a PE programme that is line with the current curriculum and schemes of work. Our coaches follow detailed lesson plans and provide each teacher with a short report on each child at the end of every term. Over the course of the school year a number of different sports are covered that include:
- Net/wall games
- Striking and fielding games
- Outdoor and adventurous activities
Coaching Education and Teacher Support
Sports Fever offer support and guidance to subject teachers that have little or no experience in teaching PE and Games. One of our more experienced members of staff will come in and talk to a single teacher or group of teachers and demonstrate possible games and activities to help improve knowledge and confidence in teaching PE. We also provide teachers with a number of our lessons plans and activity cards.
School Team Coaching
Our coaches regularly take sessions with school sports teams. These can be one off sessions, working on a particular aspect of a game or skill, or regular weekly sessions with a squad. Our coaches are also happy to set up matches with other schools that we work with within the same location.
Breakfast, Lunch and After-School Clubs
These clubs take place before, during and after school and are thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. These classes allow children the opportunity to participate in sport in a controlled and familiar environment. Each class involves a number of fun games in which new skills and techniques are taught, competitions and small sided matches for any group from Reception to Year 6. Unlike with our PPA lessons, these clubs are usually paid for by the parents and not by the school. Therefore only those that have registered are able to take part.
